“Keeping my hair healthy and my colour bright is high on my agenda and as a busy mom, I don’t have huge amounts of time on my hands. The Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryer lets me be bright and bold without damaging my hair through overexposure to heat. And, the fast-drying capabilities give me some time back in my day to spend with my little one.”

How To:
- After washing, part hair into four sections with a middle parting. Apply your favourite moisturising product to the first section of hair.
- Pick up the Dyson SupersonicTM hair dryer and add the wide tooth comb attachment. Place the heat setting on ‘3’ and the speed setting on ‘3’. At its top speed, the Dyson SupersonicTM hair dryer can push out 13 litres of air a second.
- Begin to detangle and dry the first section using the wide tooth comb attachment by starting from the ends working your way up to the roots. Please note that the wide tooth comb attachment has been engineered specifically with type 4 hair in mind, for other types, you might want to opt for the smoothing nozzle attachment instead.
- Once the first section is dry, repeat throughout the whole head on the other three sections. Remember to use a water spray to keep hair moist as you go.
- Once the entire hair is completely dry, run through the hair once more using the cold shot feature on the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer. The cold shot function allows the hair to set in the style created as it cools, holding the style in place for longer.
- Apply a gel to the roots of your hair and comb into a low ponytail. Secure the ponytail with a hair tie just above the neck and apply a light shine spray to finish the look.
- After washing, part hair into four sections with a middle parting. Apply your favourite moisturising product to the first section of hair.
The Retro Shag Cut
Ideal for type 1,2 and 3 hair
Approx. 18-minute style
Achieved with the Dyson AirwrapTM hair styler
Tagged as being a major trend for 2021, this popular 70’s style is making a comeback. From Jennifer Hudson to Halle Berry, we’ve seen plenty of shag cut hairstyles over the years. While the trend was made famous by male celebrities such as David Bowie and Mick Jagger, it was barber Paul McGregor who created the cut for the American actress, mother and Academy Award winner Jane Fonda. A modern alternative to this look was also worn by South Korean actress Kim Tae-Hee.

“The Dyson Airwrap™ styler revolutionised my daily routine and helped with the conception of my new everyday hairstyle. Making my perfect “wavy style” has become a piece of cake. As a new mom, I can't spend as much time on my hair as I used to, so this tool is perfect for me to save time in my morning while creating the style I want.”
-
How To:
- After washing the hair, apply a holding cream.
- Pick up the Dyson AirwrapTM styler and attach the pre-styling hair dryer head. Turn the settings to medium heat and medium airflow, and dry the hair until it is almost dry.
- Section hair into manageable sections for styling. Attach the 30mm barrel with the arrows facing away from the face onto the Dyson AirwrapTM styler. Whilst using this attachment, turn the settings to high heat and high airflow.
- Take a piece of hair from the first section and wrap it around the barrel holding onto the ends of the hair.
- Hold the hair there on the barrel for 15 seconds or until the hair is dry, then set the curl with the cold shot button for 5–10 seconds, then release. The Dyson AirwrapTM styler works by using an aerodynamic phenomenon called the Coanda effect. It curves air to attract and wrap hair around the barrel, styling with air and not extreme heat.
- Repeat throughout the hair on all sections. For a more natural look, you can alternate between the barrels with different curl directions as you go.
- Once all hair sections are complete, gently loosen the curls by brushing hair through with fingers and use a texture spray to create a textured finish.
- After washing the hair, apply a holding cream.
The Face Framing Layers
Ideal for type 1, 2 and 3 hair
Approx. 16-minute style
Achieved with the Dyson CorraleTM hair straightener
This timeless look has been worn by many women ranging from Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor, Chinese actress Yang Mi to vice-president Kamala Harris. “Being a single mum to two active boys while working on my image consultancy company and creating content on my social media platform is fulfilling but pretty challenging. As my line of work requires me to look presentable, the Dyson Corrale™ straightener allows me to style my hair faster at a lower temperature, with reduced frizz and less flyaways. Looking picture perfect is a breeze with Dyson!”
-
How To:
1. After drying your hair, position parting just off centre and brush out any tangles.
2. Section hair into manageable styling sections.
3. Turn the Dyson CorraleTM straightener onto the desired heat setting. Wait for the chime signalling it is at the selected temperature and ready to use.
4. On the first section of hair, run the Dyson CorraleTM straightener from the roots of the hair to the ends at an even pace. By gathering hair, the flexing copper plates of the Dyson CorraleTM straightener is able to achieve the same style with less heat. This reduces frizz and flyaways, therefore enhancing style.
5. When reaching towards the ends of the hair, turn the plates inwards towards your face to create soft bends in the hair.
6. Repeat around the head on every section until complete.
7. Add a hair spray to finish and hold the look in place.
The Textured Curl
Ideal for type 4 hair
Approx. 15-minute style
Achieved with the Dyson Supersonic TM hair dryer
An ideal look for women with shorter, type four hair. Think Jada Pinkett Smith in her younger years. Celebrating those natural curls is a must, and Dyson’s wide tooth comb attachment for the Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryer is the perfect tool to achieve this style.

“As a curly mom of two boys under 5, lengthy wash days usually take a back seat to all the other tasks I need to complete. The Dyson Supersonic™️ hair dryer changed my life and routine because I was able to cut drying and styling time to less than half! I no longer have to rush out the house with the “mom bun” if I don’t want to. Give me less than 30 minutes and I’m out the door with clean, voluminous and bouncy curls!"
-
How To:
1. After washing, separate the hair into medium sections and apply a generous amount of leave-in conditioner.
2. Gently tease out any knots and tangles with a wide tooth comb, starting at the ends first and working towards the roots.
3. Once detangled, apply a little more leave-in conditioner and the spray the hair with water if needed.
4. Take the Dyson SupersonicTM hair dryer with the wide tooth comb attachment and begin to stretch and loosen the hair as you dry. If your hair is very long, don’t overstretch the hair. The Dyson SupersonicTM hair dryer features Air MultiplierTM technology which produces a high-pressure, high-velocity jet of controlled air. This supports fast drying and styling, allowing you to take your time with this step.
5. Repeat this process throughout the head. When reaching the top of the hair, stretch the hair forward to avoid flatness.
6. One dry, use a wide tooth comb or pick to position and arrange the curls around the face, adding final touches to the style.
The French Bob
Ideal for type 1 & 3 hair
Approx. 14-minute style
Achieved with the Dyson SupersonicTM hair dryer
The ‘bob’ is a timeless cut that's been the hairstyle of choice for stylish supermoms such as Marion Cotillard and Victoria Beckham over the years. The original “bob” style was invented by Parisian hairdresser Antoine de Paris in 1909 and inspired by French herione Joan of Arc. This look is perfect for the on-the-go mom seeking a strong and stylish look that's quick and easy to maintain.

“Taking care of my body by eating nutritious foods and having a healthy skincare routine is really important to me. So having a healthy hair care routine is important too. The Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryer lets me style my hair quickly without having to worry about damaging my hair with heat. As a busy mom, this gives me more time to focus on taking care of my family, while also taking care of myself.”
-
How To:
1. After washing hair, towel dry and apply a wave spray or sea salt spray.
2. Position the fringe and parting into the desired position.
3. Go in with the Dyson Supersonicᵀᴹ hair dryer with diffuser attachment on low heat and medium speed.
4. Scrunch a section of the hair into the diffuser and hold in place until dry. Avoid the temptation to move the dryer or disturb the hair being styled. This will contribute to unwanted frizz and flyaways. Repeat around the head until all hair has been dried in the diffuser. Note that the Dyson Supersonicᵀᴹ hair dryer measures the temperature of the airflow 40 times a second, preventing extreme heat damage and protecting the hair’s natural shine.
5. Finish with a spritz of texture spray to add movement and achieve the “second day of style” feel.
