Cleaning your machine

To clean the main body of the appliance, and the attachments, use a dry cloth.

Buzzing noise

A slight ionizer buzzing noise may be heard around the body of the machine.

Power off your machine, but leave the mains electricity supply plugged in and switched on. After 1-2 minutes the buzzing noise will disappear with no usage, then reappear again when the product is in use. This is normal product behaviour.

Cleaning your filter

To maintain optimal performance of your hair dryer, clean your filter when
prompted by the yellow flashing LED light, or if you feel reduced airflow.


A white light flashes when the filter is absent or not properly fitted.

                   

Unplug your machine from the mains electricity supply and allow to cool before cleaning your filter.

                   

Remove the filter cage by sliding down the powercord and opening at the split line.

                   

Slide the two filter pieces away to separate.

                   

Wipe away any loose, large debris such as hair strands or large dust particles, from the filter cage.

                   

Rinse the two filter parts under a warm running tap.

                   

Using a pea-sized amount of clarifying shampoo, lightly scrub the exterior of the inner filter cage in small, circular motions. Then, lightly scrub the interior of the inner filter cage with up and down motions before rinsing.

                   

Hold up to the light to ensure there is no remaining debris or dirt.

                   

Using a pinching motion, gently squeeze dry the inner filter cage with a dry paper towel.

                   

Allow both filters to fully dry before proceeding.

                   

Slide the inner filter back into the cage, then open at the split line and replace back on to the machine to click into place.

How to replace the filter

Make sure you unplug your machine from the mains electricity supply and allow it to cool down before replacing your filter unit.

Remove the filter cage by sliding down the powercord and opening at the split line.

                   

Open the new filter at the split line and slide on to the machine to click into place.

Acrid smell

An acrid smell is to be expected upon the first few uses. This smell is caused by the coating used in the manufacturing process commonly applied to appliances that use a heating element. The smell will fade away after repeat uses of the appliance.

To speed up this process, use the appliance on a high heat setting.

Damaged/dislodged seal

The strain relief ring seal, which is located underneath the filter cage, may dislodge accidentally when removing the filter cage. The seal should be left in place when possible.
